Experience working as a Paralegal in large law firms since 1982. Taught budgeting classes in the Mecklenburg County Jail. Stephen Ministry leader at local church. Previously served as Deacon and Elder of local church. Previously led Crown Financial Ministries’ small groups and member of city team.

CPA with extensive experience in accounting for nonprofit organizations. Audit manager for a local accounting firm for many years where duties included performing audits of a few large local nonprofit organizations. Former CFO for a large, government funded nonprofit organization in Charlotte.

Worked with Prison Fellowship from 2004-2007 piloting campus ministry to involve college students in ministry in prisons and working with families, particularly mentoring children with parents in prison. North Carolina Director for Prison Fellowship from 2007-2009 managing volunteer work throughout the state in Angel Tree, in prisons and reentry. Director of Changed Choices from 2010-2011.

Leading fundraising efforts to support Changed Choices, including the Wells Fargo Community Support Campaign event, from 2012-2017. 2015 Wells Fargo Volunteer Service Award winner of $10,000 for Changed Choices. 2016 Wells Fargo Volunteer Leave Award winner.

Past client of Changed Choices since 2012, successfully completing all programs both in and out of the Mecklenburg County Jail. Actively using past experience and knowledge to advocate for and strengthen community understanding and awareness of incarceration’s impact on the individual as well as to our society.
