Meg Bach (Chair)

Meg is currently the Wellness Operations Lead for U.S. based wellness programs for IBM and has served in BSF International for over 20 years. She has been involved with Changed Choices as a pen pal as well as with prison visitation.


Ruth Snyder (Vice Chair)

Formal training in nursing and extensive experience working with a number of volunteer, religious and not-for-profit organizations has built a keen interest in Ruth for the welfare of women in differing situations. Ruth is a member of several networking organizations in the area and as Founder of Changed Choices, serves as a resource for many who are interested in establishing programs to benefit this demographic. 


Betty Smith (Secretary)

Betty is currently employed by McGuireWoods LLP law firm where she works as a paralegal in their Banking and Finance Section. She has used her leadership experience with Crown Financial Ministries to teach budgeting classes at the Mecklenburg County Jail.

 

Claire Wilson (Treasurer)

Claire has been a CPA for over 30 years and currently has her own CPA practice where she provides tax and accounting services to individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She volunteers her time to provide the accounting services for Changed Choices and several other not-for-profit organizations.

 

Katie Clark

After years of working for Prison Fellowship, Katie came to Changed Choices as the Executive Director, strengthening the organization and seeing tremendous growth under her leadership. Katie is active both in the community and her church while raising her young and growing family. 

 

Nancy Conniff

Nancy is a Vice President and Manager at the Wells Fargo Network Services Project Office. In her years of involvement with Changed Choices, she has volunteered in various capacities, including: coordinating correspondence studies for inmate clients, serving the female youthful offenders at Mecklenburg County Jail, mentoring women in transition and managing in-kind donations. She is currently the leader of our Fundraising Committee.


Gricelda Cruz
Gricelda is a Kitchen Event Planner with Something Classic and a frequent volunteer at Changed Choices, Friendship Trays and other organizations. Throughout her life, she has overcome many obstacles with the help of God. An active church member, Gricelda has a passion for helping others.

 

Vickey Maclin

Vickey is a psychologist by training and is an adjunct professor at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in their Master's in Christian Counseling Program.  She volunteers as a tutor at Carmel Middle School.


Daren McGrew

Daren has served as the pastor of Grace Covenant Church since it was founded in 1990. 

 

Jan McGrier

Jan is a retired Human Resources Professional. Her passion for serving women has placed her in various leadership roles. She is currently serving BSF International as well as her church. Her most recent work with Changed Choices involves mentoring youthful offenders with the COOOL program.


Nancy Moore 
Nancy is a Christian counselor in private practice working with trauma, anxiety, loss, and relational difficulty. She has extensive experience with incarcerated women including juvenile offenders and abused women, teaching classes on boundaries, loss, forgiveness, parenting and other elements of emotional health. Nancy mentors younger women in local church and is a former board member of Pure Hope.


Robert Phifer
Bob is a practicing attorney and shareholder in the Charlotte office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., a national labor and employment law firm. He is a member in good standing of the NC State Bar, the SC Bar, and the Bars of the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, U.S. District Court for the District of SC, and the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of NC. Bob attends Believers Bible Chapel in Pineville, NC.
